Not necessarily. If we want to be REALLY technical about it, if any life did exist on Mars, it could still be only on a microbial level (in fact, we know enough about Mars now, that if there’s any life to be had on that rock now, that’s probably all there is). So unless those microbes can somehow metabolically produce pudding…you could be out of luck.
