Sweet letters from Ms. Helen Sweetstory is only for someone with a discernible nose for Bunny-Wunny stories.

That’s an oddly specific knowledge of books in a series. It’s like saying “Carolyn Keene? She’s the author of ‘Nancy Drew And The Clue of the Whistling Bagpipes’, isn’t she?”

“The Six Bunny-Wunnies and Half-Price Coupon For 14 oz Cans of Dole Pineapple”

My favorite is “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with the Six Bunny-Wunnies”. “We were just outside Bartsow, on the edge of the desert, when the carrots began to take hold…”

Her next book is about her love for Doggy Woggies.

Miss Sweetstory may have been running out of ideas at that point.

These book titles crack me up!

According to Wikipedia, Charles Schulz received an honorary degree from Anderson College (now University), so the reference in this strip was evidently a “shout out” to Anderson.

Anyone besides me notice that Lucy actually asked politely?

The title that has always remained in my memory is the classic “The Six Bunny-Wunnies and the Female Veterinarian.” I believe Hollywood optioned that one but the studio had trouble getting the screenplay just right and it never got made. Such a shame—Greer Garson would have been perfect as the veterinarian.

I grew up in Anderson. Such fun to see it referenced!

“The Six Bunny-Wunnies Freak Out” got banned from school and Linus and Sally started a campaign to get it back in the library.

Must be a horror story.

During a period of depression, Miss Sweetstory wrote “The Five Bunny-Wunnies and the Grief Counselor,” “The Three Bunny-Wunnies and the Shrinking Economy,” “The Two Bunny-Wunnies and the Acrimonious Divorce” and “The Bunny-Wunny Alone in a Dark Room Drinks Wine Straight from the Bottle.” Those never saw publication, but she bounced back with “The Six Bunny-Wunnies Spread Krishna Consciousness.”
