I’m not so optimistic about the free market working this out. Its one thing for Dr. Lee to work out the design of a drone that appears human, another to mass produce said drone at a price point individual consumers can afford. On the plus side, reality blindness may allow the manufacture of a less human looking drone. On the other hand, to what degree do most nonhumans participate in the human economy? I don’t know how well this happened before the reality blindness epidemic but the nonhumans who would be able to keep their jobs would probably be people like Unity and Niue, who get along fine without drones.
Considering the cost they need to give away the tech and let them earn money to pay it back over a long stretch. Otherwise most will not get it due to lack of funds.
