Obviously, the right time for massive tax cuts … Thanks to the GOP!

Gouging Old Plicks are at it again, just like under Reagan. Remember the Republican mantra when THEY have control; deficits don’t matter.

Is it significant that the dress is red? Is Mr. Ramirez hinting at responsibility for the deficit?

How about dividing the fat lady into republican tax giveaway, unnecessary military spending etc. before attacking programs we pay for with our taxes.

Remember when we had four consecutive balanced budgets under Clinton? Then the GOP forced through massive tax cuts that went primarily to the wealthy in 2001. We flipped back into annual deficit mode that year and have run annual deficits every single year since.

CHEV.JAMES, I’ve been reading comments from “regressives” (they call themselves conservatives) in response to Trump’s budget plans, especially about changing SNAP to be a box of canned goods. A line in the story was about how those on benefits eat pretty much what others do; this was in response to the claims that they eat steak, lobster, and drink soda. The comments were nasty garbage – the poor shouldn’t eat like those who pay for their own food- you should be able to tell they are poor, LOTS of false claims that they are lazy despite the majority being the working poor, disabled, seniors and the military and plenty of racism. LBJ shouldn’t have moved the funds from Social Security – so should I assume you voted for Al Gore and the “locked box”? Blaming everyone in the Democratic Party for actions by LBJ is ridiculous.

As far as cities being cesspools, per the UN study sections of Alabama were said to be like a third world country. Mississippi is a REAL cesspool. Kansas experiment with tax cuts has failed. Cities need to have their schools funded better to provide opportunities – too many are under the system of local property taxes providing all support so poor areas remain poorly educated.

Republicans borrowing money to give tax breaks to the rich is a stupid idea.

Remember when GW Bush stole money from the Social Security Accounts to pay for his illegal and unnecessary wars which are still creating turmoil in the Mid-East?

Thanks Trump and the Republicans who are fiscally liberal and socially conservative.
