I’m beginning to see why Guy laid out the whole back story by Ernie shortly before he signed off. I have never seen Guy’s version before and it should be interesting…
So nominations are being taken in the category of “Best 90+ year old comic strip to go into reruns since Thanksgiving 2017”. So far we have “Nancy” (originally called “Fritzi Ritz” when it debuted in 1922) and “Gasoline Alley” (debuted November 24, 1918). Any others?
Well, besides the two Nancys and Gasoline Alley, the only other one I read daily is Dick Tracy. So, I guess it’s just a matter of time before we start back at about 2004 on that one.

“Smile while you still have teeth!”
That has got to be one of the best lines I’ve ever heard! Go, Sluggo!

I doubt Sluggo was studying “mixed martial arts” in 1938.

I think we all remember the 1938 “Mixed Martial Arts Movie Craze.”
