Just more Republican obstruction of justice. The Republicans will believe it, the Democrats won’t. But the damage Trump is doing to the FBI will take generations to repair.
I read an article from Lawfare this morning about the firing of James Comey and the general reaction of the employees of the FBI. The reaction seems to have been utter and total shocked by all of the employees when they heard what had happened. To say that they were NOT happy would be an understatement. No one understood why Comey was fired for doing a good job. The reaction seems to have suggested that Trump and Saunders were playing fast and loose with the truth. Nixon had Massacre Saturday. When he fired an investigator despite many heads of Department resigning rather than following Nixon’s order. Trump is doing his best to invalidate the main objective of the FBI and the Department of Justice. Trump is attacking the DOJ and the FBI and the so-called head of that department, Jeff Sessions, is doing nothing to support the DOJ and the FBI. SESSIONS DOES NOT HAVE THEIR BACK!!!! He is letting Trump do character assassinations on Mueller and Rosenstein without any protest on his part. It seems that the Rule of Law has absolutely no part in politics anymore. But we all know that ethics went out the door in January of 2017 when a totally immoral unreliable unethical new occupant arrived in the Oval Office.
