    Kids chemistry sets-if they even still sell them-stopped carrying all the “good” chemicals a long time ago. My set from 60 years ago had some pretty dangerous chemicals in it. Don’t know when they changed but when trying to find one for my sons 10 birthday 30 years ago, could not be found

    Gracie is using some purple hyperbole here. Even the nuclear research didn’t have that. Though they did suspect it might “ignite the atmosphere”. Cobalt would do it (as it did in the Planet of the Apes universe)which is why they stopped from using it. Or maybe not…

    My friend Danny was bringing Potassium perchlorate to school and having fun with it.. Lots of laughs, but when the music teacher’s large lecture book went up in smoke and Danny leaned back laughing , and his shirt did too. the game was up…..Great laughs in the seventh grade…..
