2OLD bemoans the fact that he voted Republican at one time. I reply that, at one time, the G.O.P. actually stood for something , if not noble, at least somewhat ‘enriching to the “body politic” of the nation. If you’re like me, 2OLD, you didn’t leave the party so much as the party left you! Republicans no longer have any integrity, any moral center beyond the idea that they are “right” and the rest of the nation is “wrong” and their overarching “Ideology” is that, to be of any worth, at all, you must have a certain level of financial stature! In other words, modern-day Congressional Republicans judge each other and the nation by whether their agendas are supported, not whether there is any type of morality involved!
