I couldn’t agree more when I’m done — as I call it — uncling (or aunting in the females’ perspective) around with my stepmother’s grandchildren.

A big relief, and a big letdown. I love letting my hair down and just playing at their level, whatever it is. The level changes over time, but it’s always a kick to watch their minds develop. Hard to keep up if you don’t understand what they’re trying to tell you, but you can adapt if you pay enough attention.

And on rainy days hours cackling of SpongeBob. My tinnutus will flare up and needs at least 3 stiff drinks right afterwards.

Not sure if that’s a happy or sad quiet though.
