I always firmly believed that music began with the Beatles, or maybe Elvis, and died with the advent of Disco. Then, one day in the library, I dropped something, bent down to pick it up, and found myself face-to-face with “Opera for Dummies”. It seemed like such a peculiar topic for a Dummies book that I was intrigued and checked it out. I ended up staying up for hours to read it straight through, and play the accompanying CD, and now I’m hooked – much to my surprise.
