Exactly. The foundation for our next victory in 2012 was set today. I have every confidence that the nexus of our media outlets and our remaining Democrats as well as the mightly veto pen will ensure we take back the house in 2012!
Exactly Jade. All the Reps got was a romp in the House. The Presidency and Senate are still Dems. Sure, most states went Rep, so take joy in that, but Marshall kinda missed on this one.
the House originates all spending bills.
the Senate majority may be 51 or 52 Democrats, with the Filibuster Rule which gives any minority the power to halt the majority agenda schedules.
Prez Vetoes can be tested more than once per bill.
If the Democrats still don’t get it that the majority of voters
polled and counted Votes are angry because the past 2 years the Dems have been “ruling” against the Will Of The People…..with a 240 to 183 GOP majority in the House
and state Governors now 28 GOP to 15 Democrat…the basis of the 2012 campaigns and elections…..then the Dems are totally hopeless.
They were so sucksessfull at shafting us while in the minority, just think what they will do now– right- total cooperation across the aisle with committee appointments bill drafting etc. The capitol may well look like the Reichstag if they don’t get their way. (I’d pack up your good crystal as well.)

Not really, disgusted. DADT: supported by the majority of Americans of either party. Healthcare: when described properly, most Americans agree. Etc…
Speaker Pelosi has done more for this country than you will ever know. I just hope she doesn’t retire or resign because there is still so much good she can do. I proudly voted for her 2 days ago.
