Well said, or well questioned…. “If they want”. Why is trump still in the white house?

It should be understood that there is no guarantee that past performance will be indicative of future results.

Demonizing political parties and politicians is so damned easy it’s not even good sport. They are not a separate breed, they are us. We hold our individual neighbors, co-workers, bosses, entertainers, strangers, etc., to a fairly simple code of right and wrong – without trashing all of them.

The candidates Americans elect in the future can (and will) propose, promote, speechify, vote on, and enact whatever best suits them. It’s up to us — come primary day before their nomination or re-election — to prove to politicians that what is best for our ideals and continued progress had better be the same thing that suits them.

The important war is not between Democrats and Republicans, but between Democratic neocons and Democrats who, for want of a better word, are progressive. If the neocons keep on winning (by hook or by crook), then they’ll triumphantly roll back .5% of Republican actions.

That’s a big “if” considering they take from the same donors and campaign with "at least we’re not Trump ". Bernie Sanders is the only senator who walks the walk. The rest are 50 shades of Republican.

I’ve been bitterly disappointed by American voters. We could have ended the Vietnam war with the Peace and Freedom Party but they voted for Nixon in droves. Americans tend to vote for whoever will punish them the most. We could have had the most prepared president ever but American’s voted for the lying thieving idiot.

If the universe can bear going from chaos to futility, if America always gets the President we deserve, then whatever her decision … it is understandable.

@CeraboogeYeah, all the Dems are rats, sure. They all vote for heinous bills.

May I point out to you that the present House Democratic caucus consists of 26 members new in 2017, 74 members elected in the Obama years (22 in his first term and 52 in his second), 48 elected in the Bush years (13 first term, 35 second term) and 52 members serving since the Clinton years and before. You really wanna claim that all those people would have caved on the Patriot Act? You wanna blame all 135 members who have only been there since 2005 for earlier votes? And also have you ever considered that just maybe your take on each and every vote may not be perfect?

Good news is the three richest in the Congress are Democrats and voted against the Republican travesty of a “tax” bill along with all other Democrats and 12 Republicans.

    1) Put the Democrats in power in Congress this November.2) Hold their lame-ass feet to the fire to turn this country around.
