A certain degree of partisanship is not surprising, but the divide between the parities seems to have become a chasm. Everything now seems to be judged not on its merits but simply by which party is attached to it. Science, for instance, should not be partisan. But somehow a lot of Republicans have decided that it’s treason to the party to try to understand basic physics or biology. But facts are not Democratic or Republican, they are just facts. And now the supporters of the president are tying to make the claim that the Mueller investigation is partisan. But the test will be evidence. Either Mueller will present evidence or he won’t. Evidence isn’t Democratic or Republican. It’s evidence. So far, Mueller has two guilty pleas. These are not partisan, they are guilty pleas. He’s got two indictments; these will stand or fall based on the evidence. If he brings further indictments, they will be based on the evidence he was been able to collect.

They don’t listen to experts discuss the facts so a calm deliberation takes place. No reports from federal agencies on the impact of legislation. No fair play or careful consideration of different points of view. No science. No rational thinking. No long term planning. No coherent ideology. Nothing but brute power plays and crude machinations.
Insanity is contagious, people. Seems unlikely, but poor pathetic mentally ill trump has seized the republicans and infected them with mental illness.
This is about a compulsive, mentally ill septegenerian with ADD infecting a political party whose immune system has failed to evolve to be capable of addressing and adapting to rapidly changing circumstances. The failure to adapt cripples both the party and its adherents. But the trump base is dying. It skews old. Can’t happen fast enough for me.

So the new tax bill contains the old tax bill with amendments…. so it’s just as confusing and long as before.
