So what if cable companies charge more? Cable has been working hard to put itself out of business for years. A lot of homes have dropped cable and are streaming TV now. Charging more will just ensure the death of cable and make Netflix and Hulu even more popular. And at least one cable service will charge LESS to stay alive.

My only choice (fast enough for Netflix and Hulu) right now is the sole cable company in my area, as an isp. I worry now that they loaded new firmware to my router on the 13th and wonder what the effect will be in 2018. If I can block annoying sites -- (e.g.) Newsmax -- in my firewall, imagine what they can block or throttle before it gets to my firewall.

Under Trump and the ‘republicans’, piracy and thievery is the new ‘respectable’ business model! I used to be proud to be referred to as a Republican – I’m certainly glad I jumped ship before the moral degradation set in! This is ONE rat that’s happy to watch the ship sink from the ‘comfort’ of the shore!

Terrific illustration of plug in pirate face. Says it all!
