I think which side of the bed you get out of is more important than which side you wake up on. Presumably, the side you wake up on is the same side you fell asleep on. I am more of a mid day person, but there is no one else in my house, so it really doesn’t matter. Sometimes I get out on one side of the bed, and sometimes I get out on the other side of the bed. There are two doors out of my bedroom so it all depends on which way I want to go.

I have a sweatshirt that reads “I’ve had my coffee. You may speak”. no joke, either.

agreed, Ben. Back in my ‘warehouse days’, the crew learned not to come to my office until after 10, unless it was a BIG emergency. I won’t say I was grumpy, but, I was a little testy about dumb questions and silly squabbles before 10. Oh and just so you know, I started at 6 each morning and went till 6 or 7 each night. hmmmm Maybe that was why I was grumpy?

The dog is happy because he know he will be napping all day.

Some people are “morning people” by nature, some by choice, some by necessity. All need to learn not to be too cheerful when they first awaken. lest they be counted as a curse by others. It’s not a case of when somebody wakes up that is important. It is a case of the fact that not all people are gung-ho and ready to go when they first awaken.

People just can’t understand that “sleeping in” is 0500.
