Well, the bullet hit the pier 70 feet away from the woman, and she got hit by a ricochet. The guy IS in jail, just not for a murder. Now Flynn, and his buddies in the Trump camp, let’s throw away the key.

“Joe” Arpaio got a get out of jail free card from el presidente.

The guy the cartoon is referring to is going to jail on related charges.

    Right wing propaganda.

In returning its verdict Thursday afternoon on the sixth day of deliberations, the Superior Court jury also pronounced Jose Ines Garcia Zarate not guilty of assault with a firearm, finding credence in defense attorneys’ argument that the shot that ricocheted off the concrete ground before piercing Steinle’s heart was an accident, with the gun discharging after the defendant stumbled upon it on the waterfront on July 1, 2015.Garcia Zarate, a 45-year-old Mexican citizen who was released from County Jail before the killing despite a federal request that he be held for his sixth deportation, was convicted of a single lesser charge of being a felon in possession of a gun. He faces a sentence of 16 months, two years or three years in state prison. Garcia Zarate, who has already served well over two years in jail and gets credit for that time, will be sentenced at a date not yet determined.

Trump is the one who will be seeking sanctuary soon. Irony ensues.

Lisa, he was convicted. He’s going to prison. What part of being found guilty and being held responsible for his actions do you fail to understand? You’re unhappy about the decision, ok. Write your little comic to show that. But DON’T MAKE UP LIES. The dude is going to prison. What you need is a “I disagree with the decision of the criminal justice system” card.

The joys of having a xenophobic nationalist, white supremacist, misogynist, anti-establishment leader is that is attracts like-minded anarchists and libertarian supporters. Anarchist and libertarian thinkers don’t like law and order or rules and regulations or court decisions … do they?

In the real world it should of at least been involuntary manslaughter. But then the firearm disappeared out of a vehicle near where this guy was homeless some days before. Why would you even mess with the weapon if you found it. Why would your story change so much. The defense claimed he didn’t understand but he had a court interpreter. A expert testified the weapon would of had to of been aimed. I have noticed mention of jail time for the firearm violation. Last night a article said he was going to be deported by the feds. Its going to be time served and deportation. I can’t even imagine the pain that father must feel. In some ways the city basically executed the poor woman.

Had the incident involved a white American.. it would have been a non event and the taxpayer would not be on the hook for a truckload of money. But.. ever the opportunist.. the Republicans sought to politicize this.. and still do.

Now that Republicans have passed their Draconian Tax Bill we can read it and see what is in it.

No one is getting out of jail free for being in a sanctuary city, no one is being kicked out of the country for no reason in a sanctuary city. The right is mad when due process doesn’t give them the outcome they want. Like a brown person going free or a white person being imprisoned.

I call on all good Conservatives to reject the rule of law and to ignore the decisions of the courts, and to go on our feelings as to whether or not a man is guilty.

Going back a way, Oliver North was convicted in Iran/Contra of criminal activity, treason actually by selling arms to enemies, was let off by a Reagan appointed judge, became a millionaire selling faulty armor to the military, causing the deaths of our Marines in Beirut, and on to be a TV hero with his “war stories”, hmm, like him catching a piece of shrapnel while hiding behind a tank in ’Nam.

Republicans since Reagan have a long history of out of jail free.
