NASA and Mars was gettting ahead of ourselves without a viable functioning system from Earth to Luna and around the Earth and back for about $1,000 pound. It still costs $10,000 a lb and that is $9,000 too much. Going to Mars will just be a tv show like the Luna missions were. Why they were dropped so fast when the Russians failed so often and quit it. It was more political show than real science.
