Uh, I have one problem. Until recently, iPhone prices at the retail level were subsidized by the cell companies. You paid the difference through high usage fees. A couple of years ago, the FCC banned the practice, so now, you pay the full retail price up front. Now you know what your phone REALLY costs…something the rest of the world has known for a long time….
See, in DC they raise the transit fare and reduce the service all the time. Of course the people that can afford the iPhone and Hockey tickets probably aren’t using transit.
Since wages have been stagnant for 30+ years, at least for the people that use transit, keeping the price the same seems fair. Milk, a staple, hasn’t gone up much, and the people who go to games can afford the doubling. And probably don’t care if the team isn’t twice as good.
