Poor little MIKE LUCKOVICH, his idol has feet of clay, a mind filled with dirt, and the morals of an orangutan so he has to deflect. Mikeie just can’t take responsibility for his own actions.
DITCHDOG, the media is telling people who Leann Tweedon is by describing what she does for a living. Most people wouldn’t know who she is just by name. I cannot fathom how saying what she does for a living makes Franken’s circumstances different. What does make Franken different is that he immediately apologized and then followed up with another apology because he thought the first didn’t go far enough. He was not touching her in the photo. Yes, it was a terrible thing to do so I am not excusing it. But the two were peers, it wasn’t an adult and a child. The sickest part of Moore is that he told the victim she was a child so no one would believe her. Trump walked in on teens’ dressing room at a pageant and propositioned a 10 year old. Stop defending pedophiles by deflection.
Actually, a lot of people do like Franken. He just goes to work and does his job. I’ve always noticed he isn’t one of those “media whores” who line up to be on the Sunday shows; he’s said it doesn’t help Minnesota.
Doggone it, I DO like Al Franken. I like what he is doing for the Progressive cause. I like that he shows no mercy in the Senate hearings for Drumpf’s ridiculous appointees. And I admire him as a human being; he has, after all, shown genuine remorse. The photo presented was juvenile and disrespectful, and might have been maybe, a little, funny (again, in a juvenile sense) IF Ms. Tweeden had in fact been in on it. I may get chastised for that, but… What we are experiencing now is a culture change. Many males, myself included, are looking at themselves and their attitudes, and seeing that they too may have at times been part of the problem. Most manage to grow out of it, some take longer than others, some never do. Jim Jeffries in his show reflected on how some of his humor, he realized now, was disrespectful towards half our species, and says as he closes his show, “I think we can all do better.” I think as a culture, we are recognizing the problem, and we ARE starting to do better.
A Panama tower carries Trump’s name and ties to organized crime
Ceballos, who says he investigated transactions related to the Trump Ocean Club during his stint as an anti-corruption prosecutor in Panama, describes the building as a magnet for international organized crime, particularly from Russia.
“The majority of sales of this building were not to local residents, but rather to foreigners,” he said. “They bought initially as an investment, knowing that once the building was constructed you could legalize your money.”
I don’t know. The script where you copped to being an amoral sonofabitch who could murder with impunity seemed to inspire confidence and rabid loyalty among millions. Maybe you should stick with that.
AND how did Roger Stone know enough to have an associate tweet, several hours prior to the news flash , that it was Al Franken’s "TURN IN THE BARREL ? Just asking !

It was good that Franken apologized. But it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Billionaires can do no wrong? Is there a dollar amount threshold that must be crossed to make unacceptable behavior acceptable?

Mike is usually very good with his commentary. However, I just don’t “get” this one.

Franken was a jerk, and deserved to have his crotch come into intimate contact with Tweedon’s boot, but compared to Moore, he’s a saint.

Interesting that Franken was the one who first caused Jeff Sessions to commit perjury (and Franken wasn’t even trying to do that!)

The problem with this cartoon is that narcissists don’t need the validation. Though I do appreciate the nod to Franken’s alter-ego.
