Dogs and cats are not sworn enemies in my household of three cats and two dogs. They get along quite well with each other, sleep with each other, tolerate each other. They only bark at the outdoor cat who loves to taunt them — saunters back and forth in front of the house, ignores them. Our indoor cat does not like the outdoor cat either. I think it’s a territorial thing.

We got a dog so the two cats left. Put food for them by the front door. Possums got the food so the cats came back in and everything was fine.
