I miss classy folks like President Obama, Robin Williams, Molly Ivans, Walter Cronkite, Floyd Little, and Jimmy Stuart. Hey, run for president Tom Hanks! www.denverpost.com/2010/01/30/kiszla-floyd-littles-last-run/
his victims, like any other victim of sexual assault, had to live with the attack alone for years. The New York Times reporting Louis C.K.’s gross sexual misconduct, which is completely indefensible, and which inevitably resulted in the cancellation of his new film, I Love You, Daddy. It includes a scene where an actor vigorously pantomimes masturbating in front of a female colleague.
Part of the reason that women never spoke out is shown in criminal TV films of the 80s and 90s. In courtroom scenes when a woman has accuse someone of rape and has to take the witness stand, the defense attorney would Put That Woman through a purgatory of accusatory questions to try to make her seem to be the one at fault or lying about everything for reasons of Revenge or profit. Also in those films the police who took reports of the alleged rape would also act like that. If that was the culture of the time, it’s no wonder that no woman would report crimes of that nature. It would be bad enough to go through something so horrifying without having to go through shameful humiliating episodes of trying to get Justice. The entire system was set up to protect the guilty rather than the innocent.
