The fact that I’ve already had to wear long pants three times suggests that we are well into Fall. Which is why I’ve been talking to the home office about The Big Sherpa Re-launch Project, to see if we are going to be able to fulfill our “by the end of the year” re-launch intent.
Alas, we have had to admit we won’t be able to keep that schedule. But for reasonable reasons. The new GC site has continued to take up a lot of the tech crew’s time, and other urgent projects keep popping up and demanding attention. (Hey, even the new Doonesbury site is behind schedule, so we are in good company.) The new Sherpa will happen.
The good news is that I am working up some fixes right now to improve the temporary Sherpa site for the rest of our journey-in-exile. These changes will make the temp site more user-friendly and informative, and up to date.
And I would now like to tip our hand to you on one of the features, which will immediately make your life easier. It’s a url that will give you (drum roll), on one page, every Sherpa strip that has been posted that day.

And if you add date coding at the end of it (like this: http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/allstrips?uc_full_date=20171012 ) you can go back and revisit earlier pages, if you’ve been away from your computer for a few days, and want to catch up.
Not only does this make it easy to peruse each day’s new postings, but it gives a sense of how much creative effort is going into the site. It’s like a daily campfire around which the Sherpa tribe can gather and hear the day’s adventures.
I hope this feature, and the other site tweaks we’re working on, will make our current quarters more pleasant for the duration. Meanwhile, we will press on towards the full site re-launch within GC in 2018, and I will keep you posted.
