Poor training, insular culture, and infiltration by white supremacists. The disease our justice system suffers from begins with who they let wear a badge.
Frankly, arming COPS to the teeth is the issue. Gone are the days of trying to “de-escalate”Now it is just pulling out the gun and shouting: “FREEZE MOTHER F***ER”
Polarization, encouraged by big money politics, has divided the nation, to a point, that may be, an all-time high, increasing distrust, suspicion and fear … making the under trained police force and the public into adversaries. Only an enemy of a nation would do this, and as yet, we do not know if the enemy is internal or external.
It’s a bad enlistment program. There’s not enough training, and it attempts to mold new hires into the mold of the old guys getting ready to retire. Why? Because they write the tests and curriculum.

Since the idea is to reduce the supply of one and increase the other. Occupational licensing has gotten ridiculous.

And, it’s harder and requires MORE training AND testing to get a license to be a hairdresser then it does to buy an AK-47 or an M-16.

You do not have to have any intelligence to fire a gun.

Hey, in Mississippi only one hour of training is required. About the time it takes to put on your uniform and strap on a gun.

In WA state, an initiative is going on the ballot requiring de-escalation training for all police officers. http://www.deescalatewa.org
