I recall a YouTube by a Brit named Tom Scott where he mentions Australian Aboriginals don’t have words in their language for “left or right”; they just use cardinal direction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYlVJlmjLEc (1:47-2:42)
Don’t know about anyone else but I have a problem with left and right. So you’d better tell me well ahead of time which way to turn so I can think about it.
Since I moved to SoCal; my easts, wests, norths and souths have all been mixed up. I’m used to having the ocean to the west, not the south. So it’s got to be left or right.
Sad. WAAAAAY back when, when people used maps to get themselves around in their cars (I’m thinking, like, those bygone prehistoric days of the 90’s), most generally knew which way was north, making all other directions simple to determine.

Fuzzbucket… are you, perchance, writing on a phone or a tablet? LOL….
and Kyle… does that mean it’s my right to take what you have left?
Yeah, no Internet Explorer OR Ford Explorer here.
Firefox FTW, and maybe for the explorer, Ford Prefect… but the person, not the car.

I have no problem with right or left, I do have a problem with south, north, east or west. Don’t even get me started on northwest, southeast………….
