I know how you feel Liz. I had a verbally abusive mother too. At least once I moved out I never had to live with her again. You’d think Sarah and Irv would be thankful Liz and Sam took them in and not be throwing out barbs all the time.
Liz seems to always carry a block on her shoulder. does she hate her parents for being poor and not giving her the wealthy lifestyle she thinks she always deserved? they probably sacrificed for her lots of times and even hoped she would have bettered her life if she had married into wealth.
