Anyone who believes that Republicans will ‘reform’ the tax code so that Trump will not benefit personally also believes that Mexico will pay for it.

    ===

Republicans may lower the rates at the top, but the number of volumes of the tax code will remain.

And of course the secrecy for deductible political donations will be expanded.

    Because compassionate conservatism.

Who do they think wrote the tax code? It wasn’t the regular, middle class, head of household – it was written by politicians at the behest of business and other moneyed interests. And those very same entities have more money now than before. I’d like to see a tax code so simple that the HR Block and other tax preparers go out of business. Do you think they’ll have a say in this?

Corporations don’t pay need the 35% and companies like EXXON get FEDERAL SUBSIDIES! Corporate welfare is okay, right?

And still the party politicians do not give us middle class candidates with an economic education and proven track records, preferring multi-millionaires who have no idea what middle class living is like or how to add value to the government’s assets.

I just read that the number one thing that Trump wants repealed is the tax that cost him 30 something million dollars at one time. That’s definitely not tax reform for the middle class.

I am shocked, shocked that the Trump tax plan includes a rate reduction for the top bracket and a rate increase for the bottom bracket. I remember a time when Republicans just ignored poor people. Now Republican philosophy says that the poor should be punished.

Eliminating the inheritance (death) tax for people having more than 5 million helps only the rich.

Simple. Everyone pays “X” percent of their income in taxes. No deductions. No credits.

I’ll even throw you a bone and say that you can have 3 different brackets of taxation – but still have no credits or exemptions or deductions.

Everyone. This is “fair” taxation. As it is now, about 46% of the tax filers pay nothing in federal income taxes. How is that “fair?”

^Fair? You want fair?!? So how is this “fair”?

    For total income we will use the sum of the five average incomes:Total Income = 10000 + 24000 + 50000 + 80000 + 110000Total Income = 274000

Next we find the percentage of total income that each segment of the population earns, by dividing their income by the total income:

    Bottom segment percentage = 10000/274000 = 0.036 = 3.6%

    Second segment percentage = 24000/274000 = 0.088 = 8.8%

    Third segment percentage = 50000/274000 = 0.182 = 18.2%

    Fourth segment percentage = 80000/274000 = 0.292 = 29.2%

    Top segment percentage = 110000/274000 = 0.401 = 40.1%

What these figures indicate is that the bottom fifth of the population gets less than 4% of the total income, while the top fifth of the population gets over 40% of the total income, indicating a large degree of income inequality.

They’re not going to fix Obamacare: it’s an election hot topic. They’re not going to fix immigration: it’s an election hot topicThey’re not going to fix taxes: it’s an election hot topic.

And when they fail to make any progress in congress (controlled by the Rep’s, so no real excuses), the Orange haired wonder will tweet something obnoxious again – and all the faithful will follow the distraction. His ardent followers will somehow fail to grasp that they are the victims of another GOP bait and switch. You voted (or so you thought) for all these things, but you were never going to get any of them. All you have done is pay Trump corp ~$100 million, so Trump can hang out at HIS resorts.

The real question isn’t how much they pay, so much as what’s left for the life support, basics. Twenty percent of $20,000 and you have $18K, of twenty MILLION, and you only have 18 MILLION dollars left for “the basics”.
