WPLR, (a radio station near me when I lived in CT) would do a “Running of the Chihuahuas” every May 5th (Cinco de Mayo). They asked all of the listeners with one to bring them to one of the streets in the city and at the designated time, would turn them loose. I never witnessed it personally, but it sounded hilarious!
