Here in northernmost Maine the geese are starting to migrate, but only a few small groups of 30 or less. In the next few weeks there will be dozens of groups of a hundred or more coming through. It’s a beautiful thing to see them landing and taking off from the lake in front of my home.

In Maryland we have acorns. Lots and lots of acorns. You need an umbrella to go out for the mail.
