There exists the legal idea of “prosecutorial discretion” to balance the demands of the law with the (limited) resources available to the Executive to execute those laws. Giving instructions to Homeland Security on how best the administration wants to spend the (limited) resources Congress has given them in pursuit of immigration laws is what the President is supposed to do. Congress at any time can pass a law to further refine/restrict the scope of immigration law. To call the Executive branch’s exercise of prosecutorial discretion a diktat is just ignorant.
Obama created DACA by executive order, which is illegal and non-constitutional. We can only hope that Trump will overturn it with a fine new executive order.
Apparently ‘VORPAL7’ still doesn’t realize that the citizens of the United States voted for/elected Barack H. Obama President … Then they re-elected him. Notice,too, that he won both the popular vote and the vote in the Electoral College! Same can’t be said for #45!
