I don’t see truth, watchdogging or investigative journalism up there.

The flash point is trump. His profound mental illness is so pronounced that it’s difficult for people to get used to—as it should be. The craziness drives the discussion, so it becomes a never-ending crazy show. The ratings are because of the crazy stuff trump does. It’s like a car wreck. Even if you don’t stop to look, you get caught up in the traffic jam.

Expecting anything different is foolish. This will continue as long as we have a mentally ill person as president. I’ve been saying this for well over a year, and it is as described. Crazy is as crazy does. It’s hard to sit idly by and not get upset.

Of course that’s for the two-thirds of the country that knows something is wrong with the man. The other third is just weird. They think the lies, the ignorance, the probable treason, the conflicts of interest, the revolving door of top officials, the utter chaos around trump, are just the price one pays for power. Foolish amoral nonsense.

After the Allies liberated France, all the Nazi collaborators scattered, and it looked like nobody helped the Nazis during the occupation. The trump enablers will come to be viewed the same way. People will ask, “How could you have supported that ignorant, mentally ill idiot?” When this is all over, and trump is removed from office (which he will be) the collaborators will deny they ever supported him.
