They couldn’t repeal Obamacare – but they did approve a Russia sanctions bill. They’ll face voters back home who have cause for frustration about an unproductive Congress led by a party given over to infighting. They took their summer recess. they didn’t appoint Gorsuch, that was way back in April, you can’t really count the school work you did in April as your summer reading. Along with no healthcare, they couldn’t get the rest of their agenda even started, like a tax overhaul or an infrastructure bill, while falling behind on the annual spending bills needed to keep the lights on in government. The Senate did overwhelmingly approve a Food and Drug Administration funding bill, and agreed to more than 60 Trump administration nominees, more executive branch nominations in a single day than the Senate had approved all year to date. the GOP has also had success in overturning a series of Obama administration regulations, employing the little-used Congressional Review Act.
Yeah the only thing they can agree on is to destroy all the good work that Obama did. They can’t build they can only destroy.. which will make it harder to get relief to Texas.
