Throwing money towards a nonsensical boarder wall seems a little stupid when we have towns to rebuild.

It would be interesting to see how TX would vote on this issue, if the people could vote. I still think the RWNJ crowd would guarantee the Mexican wall side would win.

I think this might be an out for the Rump. He can now back down on his “promise” to build that stupid wall, and say the money is needed for the damage.

Trump better get moving on that wall. The Soviet Union engineers who built the Berlin Wall are dying off.

It is not sea water that is causing the flooding. Building a city in a swamp is.. Mind, trump did promise to drain the swamp.. perhaps he could do this one.

To republicans, immigrants are a threat and floods are fake. To Democrats, immigrants are people and floods are caused by man-made climate change. Trump will never spend money on infrastructure projects, and if he does, it certainly won’t be to help anyone. They won’t be prepared for the next crisis causes by the polluters who are protected by the people they vote to represent them.

Trump is building sea walls around some of his golf courses while he denies that climate change exists.

The problems in Houston were also caused by allowing developers to build housing in what are essentially dry creek and river beds. There’s also no comprehensive regional storm water system and they only recently completed their first master plan. They don’t like regulations in Texas and this is what you get.

This is probably a fake fact but I read that Houston was built on wet land also known as swamp land. And that the freeway system in Houston was designed to channel flood water away from the city. And that’s got to be fake right?!? I mean who builds freeways to be flooded?? Who builds houses that are going to sink into a swamp?

If we had already built that wall, the Mexicans couldn’t have come over and helped out in the flood the way they did!

Having read all of the comments on this thread, I must say that many people will believe almost anything without any evidence to support it. And they also seem to be shockingly stupid about the geography of any place that isn’t where they live.
