Isn’t there a bit of oxymoron in honorable treason. Opposing one’s government may be honorable, but never the whole country.

Never got that “Southern Pride” thing. The South has nothing to be proud of. Slavery, treason, and racial hatred and violence shouldn’t inspire pride. And everything great about the south like the food and blues and jazz music, came from black people.

I really like this one Mr. Bennett. If they would put plaques like this on those statues they could leave the statues up. Well maybe not. Just saying.

you can’t see the face, but a statue to Treason & Bigotry would be a statue of Trump. That confederate loving liar.

The statue was put up in the 1930’s by the KKK.

There is no honor in the defense of slavery. We have enough bigots to remind us that slavery existed.

Washington and Jefferson are not next! There is no comparison between these people. There was a historical context of people living during Washington and jeffersons time in which people did have slaves, however, Robert E Lee fought for the concept of slavery and tried to tear apart our country, therefore was a traitor and not in the same company as Washington and Jefferson who fought for the founding of our country.
