I actually didn’t mind the extracurricular duty’s when I found out what my daughter could do as goalie. She had great hands and could kick the soccer ball all the way to the other goal despite the fact she was much smaller than her team mates. It terrorized the other teams once our team formulated an attack around her ability. Later in high school she wasn’t allowed to go out for kicker on the football team for being a girl. Great to see times are changing and young women are being allowed opportunities like the one who scored her first touchdown pass for 42 yards this week. As a single dad I always tried to allow my daughter to grow to her potential. I wish everyone did.

My kids are in their 30’s and can tie their own shoes. That is a worthwhile goal in Canada now.

From the way she jumps, she should be a cheerleader.
