She’s got a point, though. See where Frazz’s head is in relation to her totally exposed undies. He’s chivalrously not looking because he’s Frazz, but what if it wasn’t Frazz?

That’s why they invented skorts.

Actually, they did, because girls only wore dresses in her day. Girls today don’t wear dresses, so why is she?

“In my day”, what an odd expression. You’re still alive, aren’t you? So isn’t this “your day”, too?

It appears that she’s wearing shorts under her dress, a common arrangement nowadays because girls are no longer expected to play like girls did back in the day.

People are sometimes saying someone is always pointing in Frazz strips. The only “pointing” done over the past week is by this teacher, and it is figurative, not a visible gesture. (Just thought I would point that out.) Well done Mr. Mallett.

In Frazz’s day it’s the kids who point things out, literally.

Those of you who criticize elderly people and their opinions….if you live long enough, the tables will be turned….see if you like it then!

I grew up during the transition from black and white to color.

I don’t know why people put little girls who are going to play in skirts anyway. Skirts are fine for adults who aren’t going to rough-house or kids going to places like church where they have to behave, but for day-to-day play, surely shorts or pants are more practical.

Since “in her day” girls only wore skirts (or occasionally dresses) Ms. Olsen is really saying “In my day, girls didn’t climb trees.”

I distinctly remember hanging upside down from the monkey bars in skirts when I was a kid…we all did it…and nobody paid any attention to it.

“Teacher teacher, I declare — I see someone’s underwear”. I was a boy, but I heard that and shouted it plenty of times.
