Lincoln Pierce has said before that Nates a Scorpio, so his birthday is between October 23 and November 21. If I did the math correctly, Nates turning 38 soon, but the comic is turning 26 in January.
I read it as Mrs. Godfrey using a passive aggressive tactic of when you want something but aren’t asking for it directly. She “wants” Nate to ask about her summer. But Nate doesn’t play along. So Mrs. Godfrey “gets steamed” in response.
