As I sit here with my Siamese on the desk in front of me, purring about 30 dB above hearing threshold, rubbing her wet nose on my forearm, shedding sealpoint hair on my keyboard, I’m thankful that though she looks just like a miniature jungle cat with strange coloring and can tear a gecko apart in less than five seconds, she weighs only about ten pounds.
