    That’s why the Brits have been chuckling about that ‘Fanny Pack’ fad from a couple of years ago. Since I know about their use of the term I tend to snerk at it myself.

    I think the term bloody being offensive comes from the belief that one only has so much blood that can be spilled in a life time and the belief that one drop of semen is equal to a much larger volume of blood. This is a belief that existed in a lot of peasant cultures. Makes a sort of sense when you think of the phrase that “Life is in the blood”.

    Bloody is from Blood of Christ. A blasphemy, hence an oath.
