Mike mentioned on Facebook that he and Joe will be reviving Minute Mysteries as a new feature in the strip.
Minute Mysteries were features in the Harvey Comics Dick Tracy reprints. They were about two comic book pages long and generally involved Tracy uncannily solving the problem with his powers of observation or deduction. The reader was challenged with figuring out how Tracy did it. The solution was generally printed upside down in the final panel.
They were not drawn by Gould but by other artists imitating Gould’s style. I think Locher may have even done some.
Mike also said he would be introducing Ugly Christine’s daughter (who would be Bribery’s neice).
Why, yes, Sparkle the music is what you think it is, and Blackjack is who he says he is to the accompaniment of his theme and timer.
We all saw this coming. Now, it plays out, I think with a developing hostage situation (unless a flat-out kidnapping; but that doesn’t seem to me to be Blackjack’s style)….
