Actually, Carl, “summer vacation” varies from locality to locality. I hear that in Kansas they get extra long vacations, primarily due to the fiscal “stupidity” of their governor – Brownnose or Brownback or something like that – he gave it away as ‘tax breaks’ to business. You see, Kansas is where the Koch brothers hail from. Kansas can’t afford schooling for plebeians, anymore – they had to make cuts SOMEWHERE and I guess Kansas republicans decided that farmers REALLY didn’t NEED an education to work in the fields, be it farm or oil. Humm, did that come across as ‘snarky’? Sorry.
