Trump tweets out his reason for giving Russians top secret information:

“Because I WANTED to!”

“It’s just information, what do I care where it came from or what it revels about us.”

Republicans are becoming more and more confident about speaking out against him.

I suspect that while they might not impeach Trump they will certainly cut him off and isolate him from the presidential roles.

If we could keep a neutralized Trump in office (forestalling Pence), we’d look like idiots to the world, but might be safer.

Loose lips launch missiles too – mostly for after-dinner entertainment.

Trump can give the Russians classified intelligence because he isn’t a Democrat.

Trump hasn’t the slightest understanding of how government is supposed to work or that the President has obligations to ALL citizens.

Definitely a loose cannon. If he had been a naval officer, he would have had to constantly wear a life preserver lest he (whoops! sorry, sir) fall overboard.

How many facepalms have we all done in the last 18 hours? I think my number is north of two dozen.

The only problem I see is, if we get rid of Trump, we’re stuck with Pence or Ryan. HELL!

DAG, Donnie intentionally provided highly classified information directly to Russia – this information was so secret that it was not shared with the US allies. Then he bragged about it.

.Hillary forwarded emails to other members of the government that had some information that was marked classified (most really should not have been) and the person that sent it to her neglected to mark “CLASSIFIED” in the header.

Well, I see that one poor little old trumpster cannot see that Hillary never deliberately leaked classified information. That is what gets you in big trouble. What a pathetically weak attempt to divert attention. Outright stupid, but par for the course. And if she erred on saying that no classified docs were there, and there were only two “confidential” docs in all those thousands? BFD. The documents were not leaked to the public, nor her server hacked. And Confidential is the lowest clearance. These days, stuff that was confidential on my first job will be marked Secret, which means confidential is very low level stuff.

As for Trump “sharing facts” — that isn’t treason either. He is the POTUS, and in normal times, the one person who can ultimately decide who gets to know what. That’s the legal side. The moral side may be quite different. There certainly are some questions to be raised about this, but again, it is not treason.

Lonecat, for example, has related a story about how JFK was briefed on some classified information, which the next day he blurted out in a speech, causing some consternation. So the classification was changed.

In this case, I’d have to know a lot more about what was released to pass judgement. If Trump relayed to the Russians information about how terrorists are using laptops on aircraft for terrorist purposes, it is hard to find fault, because the Russians have problems, too. Not sharing might cause more deaths.

But we, the public, know so little about this that we cannot say what the real consequences will be.

But do the fools defending Trump really believe that only he should be making those decisions all by himself? And that it was smart or honest for Trump to reveal, then deny, then mumble that he did do this? Really? Hypocrites.

We need to put these posters up all over the country, especially the Rust Belt. Who knows, they might actually understand it.

Maybe the Navy ought not tell the Beast where ships are. Keep the info from IT so that we don’t lose ships to loose lips.

He’ll find them by watching for their steam.
