I missed Opening Day at Dodger Stadium for only the third time since 1977. Had to adhere to a “new” attendance policy regarding absences following a holiday (Fri was Cesar Chavez Day here in California). Saddest part, my school is within Dodger Dog smelling distance of the Stadium.

Had to add — Kershaw rocked. Dodgers 14, Padres 3. #22 is now 5-0 on Opening Day with an ERA of 0.99.
