One time, Garfield once said “and what do they call that between your teeth?” to Arlene. Can’t believe she fell for that.

Ever notice how girl’s are always a sucker for a smooth line from real cads?

What he really meant was, “Arlene, you could never look sillier…”

I would rather have honesty than flattery. Then again, a gap in the teeth isn’t exactly “silly”.

Something tells me that Garfield doesn’t really know what the word sincere means.

Smart move Garfield, you don’t want to get Arlene angry with you again.

Makes you look like David Letterman.

Garfield once said the gap reminded him of the slot in a vending machine, then gave her a tent stake and told her it was a toothpick. He seems to have learned his lesson from those incidents, to keep his true feelings to himself.

I wonder who Arlene’s owner is. Maybe Liz should adopt her, they have the same lips.

The tooth gap joke has not been used for 30 years and THANK GOD! Fortunately, the return of that old gag was actually better than I expected. For once, Garfield did not anger his girlfriend Arlene. About time the writers decided to be more creative.

BTW, I just love when Garfield and Arlene are just happy together and not fighting. I wanna see more of that.
