Don’t associate single-payer healthcare with the boogyman of socialism, consider that many successful nations around the world have government sponsored single payer healthcare and their citizens, have lower cost, less bureaucratic, and more effective healthcare.
Single payer works with Medicare. Medicare for all. I still pay a healthy premium for the supplements, but I don’t think I will bankrupt myself if I ever require extensive hospitalization.
Lets start looking at health insurance as a way to provide for catastrophic care instead of paying for every single doctor visit. Your car insurance doesn’t pay for oil changes or a new timing belt any more than your homeowner’s insurance pays for replacing an old water heater. By paying for routine costs out of pocket, providing insurance for the things that would bankrupt people like cancer & heart issues would be much cheaper.
^ Forget it; the American People WANTED a government that would only take care of the well-to-do and connected, and they ELECTED a government that would only take care of the well-to-do and connected. It’s not suffering if it’s chosen.
Trump care is not even as good as Obamacare Lite. It will cost individuals more while giving us less choices. Leaving the poor uninsured once again. It is not like that ambulance is equal.

Lisa has a family and cares about them and can recognize when legislators are not doing their job for American families.

As NEOCONMAN might say … Government should never promote the general welfare!

Just give everyone the same plan Congress gives itself; or, require Congress to be under whatever plan they pass.

“Trumpcare” just requires hearses, not ambulances.
