As should be well known to anyone in the USA, several acts demanded by the Bush White House allow monitoring of calls to select foreign countries. The NSA essentially selected all of em’. Including, of course, Russia.
Moreover, it’s hardly past belief that the server connection from Alfa Bank to Trump’s servers in Trump towers was monitored by the FBI as part of a criminal investigation.
Neither of those would involve the President in any way. Moreover, the President cannot “request” a wiretap, the executive got removed from that quite a while ago, in the 90’s, IIRC.
Could well be that his people actually planted that Breitbart story just to sow confusion and disbelief should those records at the NSA or FBI be demanded by Congress.
Republicans like the way Trump is destroying the American system, they are able to cover up their tax breaks for the rich by cheating Americans out of entitlements.
It’s clever of the parties to pick candidates that drive people away from the polls (even registering) so that they can get their otherwise unacceptable ideologies made into laws.
