In Trump’s defense, W used this tactic against the Democrats a couple of times and got away with it. But then W had Turd Blossom to make sure it was done correctly at the correct moment.
Why the assumption the tapped phones were done by the US government? Is there not a real possibility it was a foreign government? I think it a given that a lot of phones are tapped.. the “tap” has just not been discovered.
Our political parties mock the intent of the founders ideal of having a government by and for the people with candidates that have no real leadership abilities and work for the people only as an afterthought.
The FBI and CIA have absolutely no right to refuse to conduct the investigation demanded by the President. He is President, and the office has to be respected, simply as a part of respecting the country. Consequently, a through investigation of every shred of evidence that exists which proves that Obama authorized a wire tap of Trump Tower needs to be completed. If it does turn out that all of that evidence proves that Obama did something wrong, then he needs to be held accountable. Conversely, if it turns out that all of the available evidence exists between Trump’s ears, then that area needs to be investigated with equal effort, and the results used to prove that one of these men is unfit to be president—and it isn’t Obama. The idea of this guy in the same hemisphere as the nuclear football scares me rather badly. I was assured by Republican friends that he would have sane people around him who would prevent him from doing anything totally crazy. Who? Kelly Ann? Bannon? Miller? He has selected “people around him” who are crazier than he is, and totally convinced that the world is out to get them. If that isn’t a recipe for disaster, what is?
