Having worked on small farms next to migrant laborers I recommend the chicken guts. Though the hand strength, speed and dexterity gained picking fruit might be marketable later.
3 words… guest worker program. All those years Cesar Chavez worked to organize the farm workers have been pissed away by the very union he started. UFW is more interested in member’s dues than in the wages they make. Even Lefties have to admit, illegals work in many construction fields, especially landscaping. Not to mention at most wineries and warehouses. Let’s get it straightened out and return to doing it the right way.
You know what, Growing up in Farm country I use to do back breaking labor: Shovelling manure, loading hay, tending the fire under a stew pot used to produce head cheese. I am in favor of sending illegal immigrants home so that Americans will have access to jobs. They have my disdain and disgust if they choose not to take those jobs because it is beneath them. They should then have their welfare benefits and all their other gubbermint handouts taken away. You would be surprised how hunger will motivate them to take the work that is offered.
With all these jobs opening up for Americans to do, it is good the government will be abolishing the minimum wage so we can hire citizens to work like the immigrants companies were bringing in to work at lower-than-living wages. I just hope there is no interruption to year-round strawberries for the conservative snowflakes.
So, it is OK for illegals to work those jobs that are beneath US workers? I guess US workers are too good to do hard work. It is much better to sit, watch TV and have the government mail them a check for not working.
Jeff omitted “At minimum wage or less.” from the Trumpian’s spiel. By the way, remember, the farm lobby got itself exempted from federal minimum wage laws ages ago. Those of you who are uninformed enough to still believe the tripe that people like Cowboy Ronnie used to spew about “welfare Queens” should mingle with the disadvantaged for a bit, it’s an eye opener – but that’s probably why you don’t do it. Now, if you have direct eye-witness evidence of the laziness of the Welfare recipient or of the “t-bone steak buyer with food stamps”, that’s one thing, because it DOES happen, but seldom. If your response is “I read about it” or “I heard about it on TV or on the Internet”, and you’re parroting that garbage, then basically you’re just pathetic!

I live in an area with a significant Hispanic population. I collect child support, and see first hand those who can’t or won’t maintain employment. Some are poorly trained or educated. Some have poor work habits, or are plain lazy. Some have physical impairments. Some have disqualifying criminal histories.
A disproportionately small number of those who pay poorly are Hispanic. If they are “taking” jobs away from anyone, I suspect it is from those who are less qualified or less willing to do the work.

There were NEVER any jobs stolen. It was the employer that chose to exploit the worker that would (could) not complain.
