Trump likes to pretend he’s military. He’ll be having those huge May Day parades every month, so he can stand next to soldiers in some uniform he designed himself.
You’ve probably heard that Navy Seal William “Ryan” Owens lost his life in that raid and that four other US military people were wounded and 30 or more other folks, including children, were killed.
Have you heard anything about what they lost their lives for? Anything? Why is Ryan Owens dead?
I suspect the reason trump likes generals is that he cannot stand to be contradicted. (EVER, because he’s so smart and everyone loves him) One essential fact about the military is that every soldier MUST follow orders from his or her commanding officer. Trump needs everyone to accept his flawless leadership, and generals are less likely to countermand his brilliant, inspired orders (Based, of course, on facts and evidence). Trump has such a bigly brain, that I’m sure all the generals will defer to it. The trump man-god is terrific, though. I, for one, love him for his bigly brain (and very small hands). Trumpy is great! President for LIFE! Go trumpy go! Show all those intellectuals how smart and classy you are. Yay trumpy!!!!
Trump was sent to a so-called “military school” because of behavior problems. While there (from descriptions by his schoolmates) he ACTED like a gung=ho “super soldier”, sometimes treating others as if he, Trump, was a B-movie drill instructor. Most teens that gung-ho can’t wait until they are old enough to enlist. When Trump was old enough, he jumped through hoops to avoid serving his country, first with four college draft deferments, and then by getting a doctor to write a letter saying that he had a bone spur on his foot and was therefore 4-F. He later joked about not being able to remember which foot it was. During his campaign, he repeatedly proved how little he knew about what the Armed Forces were and what they did. He also repeatedly disparaged veterans and mocked a Gold Star family. He also proved that he doesn’t understand the Geneva Conventions. He has also shown that he doesn’t understanding the proper handling of classified information.

Frankly, I do have a little – very little – sympathy for the military having to deal with someone who obviously knows so much.

Yes, we are turning into that Banana Republic. The military always has to step in when the civilian government gets too wacky or corrupt.
