If there are no illegal immigrants, just who is going to pick the crops, mow the lawns, etc? During WWll, the orange trees in California kept right on producing, but the oranges rotted on the trees, because every available person was involved in the war effort. Consequently, a lot of farm mortgages didn’t get paid, property was foreclosed by banks, and the oranges that made it to grocery stores were so expensive few people could buy them. And, that’s just one crop. There is also going to be no one to pick lettuce, celery, radishes, peaches, apples, and no one at Tyson’s to process chickens. Groceries are going to have to be imported from Mexico, since everyone involved in producing them is down there because they are either too scared or too pissed to come to the USA.
