Fake news SELLS! Media doesn’t care about anything else but ratings and readership.

Deep sigh.

Does it occur to anybody that history as a whole is so called “fake news”? History books in Germany and Japan have very different accounts of WWII than those in America. I would put money on ours being just as fictional as theirs. Yet we ALL tend to believe the narrative that makes us feel like we are right. So maybe the problem isn’t the folks telling the lies, but the people who believe them?

Hey, it’s only fake when they say something you don’t like. Amiright?

, and The Colbert Report all pioneered fake news long ago, with 2 huge differences:

(1) They honestly labelled it as fake news.

(2) It was funny.

We have been getting elements of fake news in our real news just by how it is slanted by the big corporate ones who cater to our govt and work with them closely. Also having Delta Force members quietly working at such news sources also figures into it.

To tossed: Are you equating Trumpian “Barack Obama is a secret Kenyan communist Muslim and the sky is made out of poodles” lies with reporting from your local paper? Because if that’s the case, then you had best give up on reading, listening to, or watching anything lest you be falsely convinced of such things as that Trump and Ryan’s AHCA was just defeated and eating vegetables is generally pretty good for you.

Of course they never call it “fake news” what they want to do is to “enhance” the news, increase reader/viewership over regular old good reporting. The one thing Carl Kolchak was about is publishing the truth no matter how bizarre they seem.
